Sound of Applause
Life was taking a new turn and I hope it was a positive one. I've had enough roller coaster rides in my life. I don't crave for them anymore.
TIME SKIP TO GRADUATION DAY
I was nervous as hell. I was going to be felicitated and not only that I was supposed to give a speech. Me, Brian and Paige, we all got the admission in the university which we aimed for and it was same.
Finally, the hustle came to an end, students were seated on the chairs, the parents and families were sitting behind the students. I was sitting in between of Brian and Paige. I was fiddling with my fingers in nervousness and I felt a hand on mine to stop it. It was Brian and he squeezed my hand slightly to assure me that it was fine.
My name was finally called, I got up and went up the stage. I got my certificate and I was given the mic. I stood beside the Podium and took a deep breath.
"Well, hi". I chuckled to myself as my nervousness went away. I put on a smile and continued,
"That was terrible introduction I suppose" everyone laughed
"These two years, my high school years to be exact. I learnt a lot of things. Good ones and bad ones. I learnt that nothing is permanent, not people not the things we love and of course not the things we hate also. Last year, I lost myself by losing some people but I am back because I realized that Life can't end like that. Well, mine can't. I still had people to love in this world" saying that I looked at Diego then Brian and Paige
"And there are people in this world who love me" with that I smiled at them.
"That was quite a melodramatic speech, I guess. Sorry for making it boring you all. Congratulations to you all. I hope when we all meet at our reunion sometime, we all have some amazing experiences to share from our amazing lives. And thankyou to all the teachers for being so patient with us. Salute to you" Everyone laughed and the sound of applause filled the hall.
I went back to my seat and asked how was it. They said I killed it. I hoped so too.
