Roller Coasters

He took me in his embrace while I was a crying mess. After crying my eyes out, we broke the hug.

I looked at him, "I am sorry", "For what?" he asked confused

I pointed at his shirt which was now wet because of my tears. He chuckled.

"And I was worried as if it was something serious" I smiled at his reply. He smiled back and continued,

"Anna, when my mom was having her appendicitis operation. I worried sick even though doctors said it was not something serious. So, I can't even understand what pain you are going through. I am sorry Anna that you had to go through all this but I am so happy that I met you"

"CHEESY" I shouted and chuckled. He acted to be offended and we talked for a while before heading home. I told him that I was planning to visit my parents the next day. He insisted on coming with me but I refused that I wanted to be alone this time. He understood.

THE NEXT DAY

I was on my way to visit my parents. I told Diego and he had reluctantly agreed to my request.

I had a bouquet of Gladiolus knowing that mom loved it. I made my way to them. I put the flowers in front of them and sat down facing them.

"It has been quite a while. Mom Dad" I looked at them and then looked back at the sky with a smile on my face.

"We've grown up especially Diego. You know he got a girlfriend. She is really sweet. And guess what? I got the student of the year and I am going to be felicitated for it. I am recovering. Diego, Brian and Paige they all are helping me so much. You know you made your daughter very lucky to have you all in my life"

I talked about me and my life for a while and finally bid goodbye to them.

Life was taking a new turn and I hope it was a positive one. I've had enough roller coaster rides in my life. I don't crave them anymore.
