Surprised but happy at the same time

 I was surprised to see that Lucia came with Finn and they had the same expression on their faces when they saw my condition. I gave them a way to come in and as soon as they got seated, Lucia could not hold herself any longer. She asked," What happened? Why are you like this? Your trip was supposed to be longer but you are already here? What happened to your leg?".

Finn stopped her in the middle," Lucia, just how many more questions are you going to ask her. She can answer only one question at one time. Just let her speak". 

I sighed," We were at the hotel and we had decided on going to the Westerland Beach after washing up. I didn't realize when did I fall asleep. But when I woke up, I saw everything was shaking. It was an earthquake. I rushed to my parents room but when I reached , the building collapsed and so did me and mom-dad". My voice was trembling and hot tears were flowing from my eyes.

I continued trying not to break my voice," When I opened my eyes, everything around me was destroyed and I searched madly for my parents and after sometime , all I found was.....was her ha..hand. I fainted again and the next time I opened my eyes , I was in the hospital with my brother. They still couldn't find their...their bodies".

Tears poured from my eyes. Lucia came closer to me and wrapped her thin but warm arms around me and I cried just like that for a while. Finn's eyes were also red but he was not letting his tears come out. I wished I was that strong at the moment. After sometime , I was better and wiped my face and tried to change the topic," Lucia, you said you had something to tell me. What is it?" My voice still hoarse.

I knew I was terrible at changing the topics but I didn't want to think about that anymore. She looked at Finn and then said," Anna, I know we should have told you right away but things were like that. The thing is that...that me and Finn. We are dating. I know this was sudden but we could not delay it any longer".

I was surprised but happy at the same time. I said," You fool, why were you two worrying about me".

I gave them a smile. She said ," I mean I know but I thought that you had some feelings for him because you met him way before, I think you two should have a good talk. I am going to call mom and I will tell her that I am staying with you today and you can't object". And even before I could say anything she left the living room. And it was us two. It was awkward .
